Job Description

  • Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
  • Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
  • Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
  • Utilize logistics IT tools to optimize procedures
  • Supervise orders, tracking shipments, to ensure they meet needs
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
  • Plan and track the shipment according to customer requirements
  • Keep logs and records.
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management when required.

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
  • Proven experience as logistics coordinator
  • Experience in customer service will be appreciated
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, Saudi SABER system and ISO requirements
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) such as Odoo & ERP systems.
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
  • Proficiency in English reading and writing (intermediate level) is preferred.
  • Possesses good computer skills and use Microsoft Excel specifically.
