Job Description
- Build strong relationships with growers and suppliers to secure raw materials on time and within required export specifications and negotiate procurement contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Coordinate with packhouses or in-house teams to ensure proper grading, processing, and packing that meets international export standards (EU, GCC, etc.).
- Plan and manage the full transport cycle, from farms to ports, ensuring cold chain integrity and smooth coordination with freight forwarders, track shipments and manage delivery timelines, track shipments and manage delivery timelines.
- Prepare and verify export documentation (phytosanitary, certificates of origin, invoices, etc.) while ensuring compliance with destination market regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent spoilage or shortages, apply FIFO/FEFO systems, and maintain full traceability of goods.
- Analyze logistics and operational costs, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvement strategies to reduce waste and enhance supplier performance.
- Work with QA teams to uphold certifications like Global G.A.P. or HACCP, lead traceability programs, and promote sustainable sourcing and operations.
- Act as a liaison between supply and sales teams, provide shipment updates to clients, and resolve issues related to delays or product quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Agriculture, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1:3 years of experience in supply chain or export operations (preferably in agri-business).
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP or supply chain management software.
- Fluent in Arabic; good English is essential (written & spoken).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle seasonal peaks.
Preferred:
- Experience in exporting to Europe, the Middle East, or Asia.
- Frensh education is a must.
- Knowledge of food safety certifications (Global G.A.P., Organic, ISO).
- Background in garlic, onion, herbs, or perishable export crops.
