Job Title: Upcountry Sales Manager
Location: Full Time – Based Upcountry, Tanzania

Job Summary
Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong FMCG background and a passion for driving results in regional markets? SUMET is seeking an Upcountry Sales Manager to oversee and expand our sales operations in key upcountry territories. You will lead a team of field sales representatives, build local partnerships, and drive growth of our EX-PIDO brand in rural and semi-urban markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Supervise and support field sales teams and sales coordinators across assigned regions, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and address challenges.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
- Execute marketing and promotional initiatives at the regional level in coordination with head office.
- Coordinate with credit and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and proper customer credit management.
- Report on regional sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Lead periodic performance reviews and coaching sessions with Sales Coordinators to foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably with regional or upcountry sales exposure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and manage large sales territories.
- Strong knowledge of rural and semi-urban market dynamics in Tanzania.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with sales reporting tools and CRM systems is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within upcountry regions.
- Fluency in English (Written and Spoken)
- Reallocation to Dar es Salaam Tanzania is Mandatory
