Job Description
The Project Manager Engineer is responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of engineering and construction projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting all technical and quality standards. The Project Manager Engineer leads cross-functional teams and coordinates with clients, consultants, and contractors to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project from mobilization to handover, ensuring full alignment with contract scope and client expectations.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents; coordinate with consultants and stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor the baseline program and resources using Primavera P6.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and risk analysis.
- Optimizing cost effective solutions that don’t impact quality
- Manage site activities, subcontractors, and the technical office/site team to ensure execution is on track.
- Follow up on procurement schedules, material approvals, deliverables and subcontractor performance.
- Control project budget, track cost variations, and report deviations or risks to senior management.
- Hold regular coordination meetings with stakeholders, consultants, and site teams.
- Develop progress reports, client updates, invoices, and project documentation.
- Ensure smooth handover of completed works and close-out of all outstanding items.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control, health & safety regulations, and site procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering and construction, with at least 3 years as a Project Manager.
- Solid background in industrial or factory construction projects is essential.
- Strong knowledge of local construction laws, Egyptian codes, and permitting processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office tools and knowledge of Primavera P6.
