Job Description

  • Appraise contractual documents during the tender stage, identify potential risks, and provide legal/contractual countermeasures.
  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including conducting regular site visits to monitor compliance and progress.
  • Track and update the contract’s detailed anticipated final forecast value, incorporating variation orders, site instructions, claims, and contractual charges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and substantiate major claims.
  • Perform delay analysis in coordination with planning engineers.
  • Ensure that all contract terms, conditions, and pricing are accurately implemented and satisfied in project agreements.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing contract processes to the Contracts Director.
  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies for future contracts and procurement opportunities.
  • Ensure that all contract strategies, tenders, agreements, and variations comply fully with QP’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative and strategic support to the Director of Contracts Administration in developing, implementing, and maintaining construction and contract-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Revise the engineering contracts manual and make updates to reflect changes to government policies and new guidelines for engineering contracts.
  • Perform site surveys, system designs, preparing specifications, presentations and documentations.
  • Assist with the investigation and reporting of claims in dispute to facilitate speedy resolution of complaints.
  • Develop and sustain client relationships.
  • Ensure that work is measured, billed, certified, and collected in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Civil
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract management in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in contract software tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
