Job Description
- Develop detailed structural BIM models for precast and conventional systems using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret design intent and translate it into accurate 3D models.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model consistency, clash detection, and resolution.
- Prepare and update construction documentation, including shop drawings and schedules, directly from BIM models.
- Integrate BIM models with project management and detailing workflows to enhance project delivery.
- Implement and maintain BIM standards, templates, and best practices across assigned projects.
- Conduct quality checks on models to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
- Support the engineering team in quantity take-offs, material estimation, and constructability reviews.
- Participate in project meetings to provide technical input and resolve modeling-related issues.
- Stay current with emerging BIM technologies and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Job Requirements
- 1-5 years of experience in BIM modeling within a structural engineering environment.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, particularly precast and reinforced concrete.
- Experience in generating construction documents and shop drawings from BIM models.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, protocols, and collaborative workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective coordination with project stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate models.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
