Job Description
- Develop and manage detailed structural BIM models using industry-standard software such as Revit and Navisworks.
- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate integration of structural elements within multidisciplinary models.
- Prepare and coordinate structural drawings, schedules, and documentation in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues between structural and other building systems.
- Implement and maintain BIM standards, templates, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality across all structural models.
- Support the design team in optimizing structural systems for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and constructability.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and BIM expertise to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs in alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and best practices to continually enhance project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on BIM modeling and coordination.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, construction methods, and building codes.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection within BIM environments.
- Ability to interpret and produce detailed structural drawings and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with BIM standards and protocols (e.g., ISO 19650, BS 1192).
