Job Description
- Develop detailed design drawings, calculations, and layouts for formwork, falsework, shoring, and scaffolding systems.
- Review project specifications, structural drawings, and construction methodologies to determine temporary works requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with international standards (e.g., EN, BS, OSHA) and local regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and on-site support to project teams during installation and dismantling.
- Conduct structural analysis to verify load capacities, stability, and safety factors of temporary works.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation related to formwork and scaffolding.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers to optimize solutions for safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and supplier designs when applicable.
- Support in training site staff on safe erection and dismantling procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and temporary works codes of practice.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- 0–2 years of experience in formwork, scaffolding, or temporary works design
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and temporary works design principles.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Robot, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines.
