Job Description
The Learning & Development (L&D) Section Head is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and development initiatives across the organization to enhance employee capabilities, support career growth, and align workforce skills with the company’s business objectives. The role ensures that learning solutions contribute to organizational performance, employee engagement, and long-term talent development.
Key Accountabilities
- Develops and executes a company-wide L&D strategy aligned with business goals.
- Oversees the training needs analysis (TNA) process to identify skill gaps and learning requirements across divisions.
- Designs and manages leadership and talent development programs to prepare employees for future roles.
- Leads the development and deployment of onboarding, e-learning, and classroom training programs.
- Implements evaluation frameworks to measure training effectiveness and ROI.
- Manages the annual training budget and ensures efficient use of resources.
- Partners with department heads to integrate learning initiatives with business performance needs.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant laws in all training activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years in HR with at least 3 years in L&D leadership roles.
- Training delivery certification - Training of Trainers - is a must.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design, e-learning tools, and training technologies.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Analytical skills to measure training ROI and performance improvement.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
