Job Description
1. Leadership & Management
Supervise and guide the architectural team, setting priorities, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
Review team performance, provide coaching, and identify training needs.
Ensure efficient resource allocation and workload distribution.
2. Design & Technical Review
Review, validate, and approve architectural drawings, shop drawings, and details before submission.
Ensure designs comply with local codes, regulations, and project specifications.
Oversee the preparation of architectural specifications, material schedules, and finishes.
3. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with consultants, clients, and project managers for design clarifications and approvals.
Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
Represent the architectural team in meetings, presenting solutions and addressing technical issues.
4. Technical Office Functions
Ensure timely preparation and submission of shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, and as-built drawings.
Review tender documents, BOQs, and specifications for architectural scope during pre-contract and post-contract phases.
Participate in value engineering proposals to optimize design and cost.
5. Quality & Compliance
Implement quality control procedures for design accuracy and adherence to standards.
Ensure all deliverables meet the company’s quality and safety standards.
Stay updated with new building materials, technologies, and architectural trends.
6. Reporting
Provide periodic progress reports to the Technical Office Manager.
Track and report design progress, approval timelines, and any risks affecting project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- +8 years of experience in architectural design, shop drawings, and technical office work, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Experience in large-scale projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use).
