Job Description
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with project requirements and company objectives.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and supervise the purchasing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and optimize purchasing quantities to minimize costs.
- Procurement Planning: Prepare detailed plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
- Product Approval: Review, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Supplier Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and prepare contracts.
- Supplier Evaluation: Research and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their reliability, quality, and pricing.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports to track procurement performance and identify areas for improvement.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Certifications: Should be hold an MBA, PMP, or any other relevant certification related to procurement or project management.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of +10 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Procurement Experience: At least 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within an engineering or construction environment.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a team.
- Communication and Negotiation: Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and secure favorable terms.
- Technical Proficiency: Be proficient in using Microsoft Office tools and other relevant software.
- Industry Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of the construction industry and its specific procurement requirements.
- Regulatory Expertise: Be familiar with Egyptian procurement regulations and ensure compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations.
