Job Description
- Lead the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates and tender documents for residential and commercial construction projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine project requirements and scope.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary data for cost estimation.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors for future reference.
- Monitor market trends, material prices, and labor costs to ensure up-to-date and competitive estimates.
- Review and assess contract terms, risks, and opportunities associated with each tender.
- Participate in pre-tender and post-tender meetings, negotiations, and clarifications with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure all tender submissions are compliant with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Support the continuous improvement of estimation and tendering processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s is a plus).
- Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior tendering or proposal management role within the construction industry.
- Advanced knowledge of tendering procedures, FIDIC contracts, and construction procurement.
- Professional certifications in tendering, procurement, or contract management are highly desirable (e.g., PMP, FIDIC, CIPS, Certified Tendering Professional).
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with ERP or tendering software is a plus.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and time management skills.
