Job Description
- Monitor and record all inventory movements (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments) in the ERP system.
- Reconcile physical stock counts with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including aging, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Ensure proper valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and procurement departments to ensure accurate and timely data.
- Support internal and external audits related to inventory.
- Monitor and report on inventory variances and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory control.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in inventory accounting or a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
