Job Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible for expanding ESLSCA University’s global footprint, and positioning ESLSCA as a truly international university. This is achieved through being present in strategic education markets and active in global academic networks. This role covers all dimensions of international work by engaging in relevant partnerships, academic collaborations, joint student exchange programs, research initiatives.
Accountabilities:
- Identifies, and structure international partnerships that align with ESLSCA’s academic priorities, reinforce its global positioning, and create long-term value for programs, students, and faculty.
- Prioritizes partnerships that offer tangible outputs such as student mobility, joint teaching, research collaboration, or double degrees
- Follows through with proper governance and performance monitoring on the strategic partnerships.
- Develops and manages structured student and faculty mobility agreements that support learning, teaching, and exposure to different systems.
- Designs and manages student mobility programs that allow ESLSCA students to experience an international academic environment through full-semester exchanges, summer schools, or short-term study abroad trips. These programs should offer real academic value, cultural exposure, and credit transferability when possible. The opportunities for semester-abroad programs and students abroad schemes should be aligned with each program's learning outcomes.
- Organizes and coordinates short international stays (both incoming and outgoing), including academic visits, international bootcamps, and joint student projects with partner universities.
- structures faculty mobility opportunities (teaching assignments, visiting lectureships, participation in partner-led modules) in a way that brings global perspectives into the classroom and builds reciprocal institutional visibility. In coordination with the relevant schools at ESLSCA University.
- Leads the design and implementation of double and joint degree programs with international partners, with alignment in curriculum, credit recognition, and academic standards.
- Oversees the negotiation of agreements, including governance, tuition policies, and diploma recognition.
- Monitors the relevance and performance of existing programs and recommend improvements where needed.
- Identifies and promotes funding opportunities that support student participation in international programs, including scholarships, mobility grants, and regional/international funding schemes.
- Build relationships with embassies, cultural institutes, and international organizations to secure financial support for incoming and outgoing students.
- Ensures that students and relevant departments have clear, updated information on application processes, deadlines, and eligibility criteria.
- Supports ESLSCA faculty to engage in international research networks and consortia by identifying relevant opportunities and partners.
- Monitors major international calls for funding (e.g. Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, PRIMA) and disseminate targeted information to faculty.
- Opens to share any opportunities for ESLSCA University schools
- Works closely with the Marketing unit to ensure that international partnerships and joint initiatives (students mobility, faculty mobility and events) are consistently communicated across internal and external channels.
- Contributes to shaping the university’s international narrative by highlighting impactful achievements, strategic alliances, and success stories from students and faculty.
- Aligns messaging with ESLSCA’s overall positioning and strategic priorities to make sure that international visibility supports the university’s reputation-building efforts.
- Maintains regular collaboration with student affairs, academic departments, and support units to ensure that international initiatives are well communicated and integrated into academic operations.
- Coordinates closely with the Director of Accreditation to align all international activities with the expectations of accreditation bodies and the university’s academic standards.
- Set up and manage clear workflows, digital tools, and follow-up mechanisms to ensure the International Office runs efficiently and transparently.
- Tracks key data related to partnerships, mobility, and projects.
- Monitors progress; and provide timely reporting to support strategic decision-making.
