Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the daily operational activities of the company, ensuring efficient and effective processes in the import, export, and commercial agency sectors, with a specialized focus on security equipment including X-ray machines, security gates, and other security devices. This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to maintain high standards of service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all operational functions related to import and export activities, ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of commercial agency agreements, maintaining strong relationships with principals, suppliers, and customers.
- Lead the operational planning, scheduling, and logistics of security equipment (X-ray machines, security gates, and other security devices) importation, distribution, installation, and after-sales services.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and standards to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Monitor and control budgets, costs, and operational expenses to meet financial targets and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting on operational performance, inventory status, and project progress to senior management.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, technical teams to ensure seamless operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Manage and develop the operations team through effective recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within operational activities.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and reputation.
- Liaise with customs authorities, shipping agents, and logistics providers to streamline import/export processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, security technology advancements, and regulatory changes affecting the security equipment sector.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Handle escalations and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain smooth business operations.
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations, including coordination with shipping agents, customs authorities, and warehousing to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
- Responsible for managing customer collections and following up on payment settlements to ensure timely receipt of outstanding invoices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain, preferably within the import/export sector, commercial agencies, or security equipment industries.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and operational software tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
