Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day factory operations to ensure efficient production schedules and workflow.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure all products meet company specifications and customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products.
  • Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve workflow.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the factory.
  • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to align production schedules with customer demand.
  • • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the factory operations.
  • • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining product quality.
  • • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

Job Requirements

  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in applied arts, manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • 2. Minimum of 17 years of experience in manufacturing management 10 years in the furniture industry.
  • 3. Strong knowledge of furniture production processes, quality control standards, and supply chain management.
  • 4. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • 5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • 6. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • 7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • 8. Proficient in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
