Job Description
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to track material usage and forecast inventory needs.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss, damage, and obsolescence.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports for management, highlighting trends, shortages, and excesses.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the inventory management function.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory management software and digital tracking systems.
- Support audits and provide documentation as required for internal and external review.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of proven experience in inventory control, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and digital inventory tracking tools is an advantage.
- Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards in all inventory processes.
