Job Description
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
- Manage company fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, fuel management, and driver performance.
- Optimize transportation routes and fleet utilization to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Supervise logistics staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and internal fleet policies.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to align logistics with business needs.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, transport costs, and fleet efficiency.
- Develop and implement fleet-related policies, preventive maintenance programs, and driver safety training.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and transport contractors.
- Oversee inventory control, stock levels, and warehouse operations to ensure product availability and accuracy.
- Use logistics and fleet management software to streamline operations and generate reports.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics performance, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 10 + years) in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Strong understanding of logistics systems, transportation management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft AX).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of customs, compliance, and international shipping (if applicable).
