Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Planning Manager with a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience, with a significant portion dedicated to the furniture manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of production planning, supply chain management, and capacity utilization within a multi-material (wood and metal) manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all production planning activities to ensure optimal efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the master production schedule (MPS) and detailed production plans to meet sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
Capacity Management: Analyze and manage production capacity for both wooden and metal manufacturing lines, ensuring alignment with demand and identifying opportunities for optimization.
Material Resource Planning (MRP): Oversee the planning of raw materials and components, ensuring their timely availability to support the production schedule.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production workflow and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the planning team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Production, and Logistics departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the supply chain.
Data Analysis: Utilize data and reporting to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory turnover, providing regular reports to senior management.
System Management: Utilize and optimize the use of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) for effective planning and control.
Inventory Control: Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage and optimize finished goods and raw material inventory levels.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in production planning, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven, hands-on experience within the furniture manufacturing industry is a MUST. Experience with both wooden and metal processes is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and advanced planning software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proven track record of improving production efficiency and on-time delivery metrics.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Badr City, Cairo, or nearby areas.( we provide transportation)
