Job Description
- Develop, implement, and manage production and material planning strategies to align with company objectives.
- Oversee demand forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation for manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, logistics, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and provide accurate reports to senior management.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Manage and develop the planning team, setting up KPIs and providing training where necessary.
- Evaluate and implement planning systems, ERP tools, and digital solutions for better forecasting and scheduling.
- Prepare regular reports and performance metrics on production capacity, demand fulfillment, and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in production planning, supply chain, or operations within chemical or process manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Familiarity with chemical industry regulations, HSE standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment.
