Job Description
The International Sponsored Programs Officer oversees the identification, development, and administration of international research funding opportunities for ZC. This position supports faculty and researchers in navigating the complexities of international grant applications, ensures compliance with international regulations, and cultivates global partnerships to enhance the university’s international research profile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and publicize international research funding opportunities from government agencies, NGOs, and global institutions.
- Advise faculty on international proposal development, submission processes, and sponsor expectations.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and submitting competitive proposals for international sponsorships.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure international compliance, including legal, financial, and export control requirements.
- Serve as liaison with international sponsors, embassies, consulates, and global research partners.
- Monitor progress and compliance of international projects post-award.
- Develop training and guidance resources specific to international sponsorships.
- Support strategic initiatives to expand ZC’s global research partnerships. Assist in developing training sessions and materials for faculty related to national sponsorship programs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business major or any related field.
- 3 - 7 years of experience in research administration or managing international sponsorships.
- Deep understanding of international funding sources, proposal processes, and compliance issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse international partners and navigate cross-cultural communication effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with international grant management platforms and systems.
