Job Description
Position Summary: The Student Engagement & International Program Officer/ Coordinator plays a dual role in enhancing campus life by leading student engagement initiatives—including event planning, Student Union (SU) operations, and club coordination—while also supporting the university’s international programming and global student affairs. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and cross-cultural communication skills to foster inclusive, dynamic, and high-impact student experiences on campus and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Engagement & Event Planning:
• Design, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of student events in alignment with the university’s annual student engagement strategy, ensuring quality and impact across all initiatives.
• Support the Student Union (SU) in delivering effective student-led programs, including elections, forums, campaigns, and communications that amplify student voices.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Student Life Office and recognized student clubs, guiding them through registration, leadership training, budget tracking, and event approval processes.
• Manage end-to-end logistics for campus events, including venue booking, promotional planning, supply coordination, and on-site execution.
• Develop and implement new engagement initiatives—such as cultural nights, peer led skill swaps, and community-building activities—to foster inclusion and active participation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Facilities, Communications, Academics) to ensure seamless planning and delivery of student events.
2. International Student Support & Global Programming:
• Serve as the main point of contact for international students, providing support with onboarding, cultural adaptation, and overall community integration.
• Organize bi-monthly off-campus events led by International Peer Leaders (IPLs) that promote social connection, cultural learning, and a sense of belonging.
• Assist in the design and delivery of international experiences, including end-of-year trips and cross-cultural exchange programs, ensuring smooth coordination and meaningful engagement.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for outbound student mobility programs, including documentation, travel arrangements, and pre-departure orientation.
• Offer hands-on support to international students pursuing permanent residency in Egypt, including accompanying them to immigration offices and assisting with paperwork.
• Contribute to the launch and development of the university’s AIESEC chapter and other globally oriented student initiatives that expand international exposure and leadership opportunities.
Job Requirements
Language Proficiency:
• Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written)
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
• Coordinator: Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative, student life, or international program coordination—preferably in a university or educational setting.
• Officer: Minimum 3 years' experience in administrative, student life, or international program coordination—preferably in a university or educational setting.
Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Comfortable working in cross-cultural, fast-paced environments
• Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience supporting international students, programs, or global partnerships
• Familiarity with visa processes, travel coordination, and event planning
• Knowledge of university systems, processes, and student affairs structures
