Job Description
We are seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist responsible for overseeing our IT infrastructure. This includes managing our network, storage server, devices, employee computers, email systems, and troubleshooting technical issues on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to support both hardware and software needs. This job will be part time.
- Network Administration: Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot the company’s network to ensure a secure and stable connection.
- Server Management: Maintain and administer the company server, including file storage, backup, and security protocols.
- Device and Equipment Setup: Configure and manage company devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- User Support: Provide technical support for employee computers and devices, including hardware repairs and software troubleshooting.
- Email and Communication Systems: Manage and troubleshoot the company's email and communication platforms, ensuring uptime and security.
- Data Security: Implement and maintain data protection measures, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and encryption.
- Inventory Management: Track and maintain an inventory of all IT equipment, ensuring devices are in good working order.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for IT processes.
- System Updates: Manage software and system updates across all devices, ensuring smooth, efficient, and secure operations.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role.
- Skills:
- Proficient with Windows and Mac operating systems, server management, and network protocols.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with email management (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to document and maintain IT processes clearly and accurately.
