Job Description
- Help set up systems or resolve issues with staff computers, laptops and printers
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Replacing parts/ equipment as required
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Manage Dell servers and switches
- Administer FortiGate firewalls and network security measures.
- Manage Digital Ocean cloud infrastructure
- Deploy and manage Ruckus Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Oversee and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
- Monitor system performance and perform preventative maintenance.
- Maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant IT trends and technologies.
- Design IT systems and network
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Implement DevOps practices to optimize IT operations.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
- 2-5 Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing FortiGATE firewalls.
- Experience deploying and managing Ruckus Wi-Fi solutions.
- Solid understanding of networking principles
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
- Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
- Strong background and understanding of DevOps principles and practices is preferred
- Practical experience with Digital Ocean cloud platform administration is a plus.
