Job Description
- Participates in the installation, configuration, upgrade, and administration of networked servers, workstations, peripheral equipment, and software to assure continuous operations.
- Troubleshoots and performs various technical server, computer and peripheral repair duties that include but are not limited to server backup operations, identification, and replacement and repair of components.
- Participates in installation and configuration of networked computers and servers.
- Participates in installing and configuring upgrades to existing networks that enhance continuous operations, desired performance, and service. • Updates existing security software on networks, servers and computers.
- Tests existing operating systems and computers for potential viruses and security problems. • Implements protocols and procedural controls for operation of the network systems.
- Responds to, and resolves user request and Help Desk escalated requests.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Communicate and initiate solving of impacts of IT incidents accurately
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of servers, routers and systems adjustments within scope of responsibility
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in a similar field.
- IT industry certification is preferred, Microsoft, Cisco
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
- System and server level documentation
- Very good communication, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Must be a team player and able to work for extended hours.
