Job Description
- Supervise day-to-day farm activities, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, and irrigation (for crop farms) or feeding, breeding, and maintaining health for livestock (for animal farms).
- Ensure adherence to farming schedules and timelines to maximize production.
- Plan and implement crop rotation strategies, pest control, and disease management.
- Hire, train, and supervise farm workers and seasonal staff.
- Schedule and assign tasks to workers based on operational needs.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of farm equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Manage inventory of supplies, fertilizers, pesticides, and other farming materials.
- Track and manage the usage of water and other natural resources effectively.
- Prepare and manage the farm's budget, including cost estimation for resources and labor.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements to achieve profitability.
- Keep accurate records of expenses, revenue, and profit margins.
- Develop and implement strategies for increasing farm efficiency and productivity.
- Research and adopt new farming technologies, methods, and equipment.
- Identify opportunities for expanding product offerings or finding new markets.
- Ensure that the farm complies with relevant government regulations and environmental laws.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or any related field.
- 10 to 20 years of experience in farms management.
- Strong Management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Post- Graduate studies are Preferred.
- Proven work experience in Project Management and Planning.
