Planning:
- Coordinate, finalize & submit all project schedules to the projects, engineering & procurement departments.
- Work with project managers to reach the required outputs according to the predefined plan and schedule.
- Manage the preparation and submission of all clients' planning requirements.
- Prepare the work plan for the planning department and its structure and modify it according to different circumstances.
Following up:
- In site continuous following up & review the work progress on daily basis
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Ensure appropriate levels of monitoring and sharing of control information to all concerned parties.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
- Check their team’s work for technical accuracy continuously.
- Follow up and monitor the submission of the project in terms of the planned schedule.
- Submit periodical accurate reports to senior management, including accurate analysis of performance progress, risks, and performance indicators, in addition to what will be done to avoid any error with its corrective actions.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
Financials & inventories:
- Lead the research on projects' required products, raw materials and processes and their costs plus ensuring getting the approve on this research from the upper management.
- Prepare projects’ financial flow reports.
- Participate in preparing and evaluating claims before submitting them.
- Contracting with the contractors to build teams.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience in construction management not less that 15 years including 10 years in managerial level.
- Bachelor’s degree in “Civil Engineering, construction management, architecture, engineering or related field”
- In site experience
- Preferably to have experience in exhibitions and events
- Architecture good knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Familiarity with construction management software packages
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
