Job Description
Tendering and Estimation Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions
- Prepare cost estimates for civil and architectural works based on quantity take-offs and market pricing
- Raise technical queries (RFIs) and communicate with consultants or clients when needed
- Coordinate with the procurement department to obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and update final BOQs and cost breakdowns
- Identify and assess project risks from both technical and financial perspectives
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions
- Participate in negotiation meetings with clients or consultants
- Collaborate with design and execution teams for better project understanding
- Maintain and archive pricing data and historical offers for future reference
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in tendering and estimation within a contracting firm
- Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Primavera or MS Project
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
