Job Description
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to understand project requirements.
- Design and select appropriate fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler, FM-200, foam, CO₂) based on NFPA, local codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, and material selections.
- Coordinate with the sales team to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
- Conduct site visits or meetings with clients/consultants to clarify technical needs.
- Support the sales team with presentations, demonstrations, and technical clarifications.
- Liaise with suppliers/manufacturers for technical and commercial information.
- Ensure that all designs and proposals comply with relevant standards (NFPA, Civil Defense, etc.).
- Assist in handing over projects to execution/installation teams after award.
- Maintain an updated knowledge of industry trends, standards, and technologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering class ( 2020 to 2023 )
- 2 to 5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, in firefighting or fire protection systems.
- Strong knowledge of fire suppression technologies such as FM200, Novec, and CO2.
- Experience with fire alarm, suppression, and integrated security systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, and project management teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, EN).
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
