Job Description
- Handle and oversee the day-to-day import/export operations for ocean, air, and/or land shipments.
- Coordinate bookings with shipping lines, airlines, and trucking companies.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise with clients, customs brokers, and port authorities to ensure timely customs clearance.
- Track and monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to clients.
- Solve operational problems and address any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
- Manage documentation archiving and ensure records are accurate and compliant with international regulations.
- Ensure adherence to all local and international laws and regulations regarding logistics and trade.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Support logistics cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations (preferred).
- Familiarity with Incoterms, international shipping regulations, and customs procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with freight management systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
