Job Description
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies aligned with the resort's goals. Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team through effective recruitment, training, development, and motivation. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Operational Excellence: Manage daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely response to guest requests and preventive maintenance schedules. Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and guest experience.
- Asset Management: Implement robust asset management systems to track equipment performance, maintenance history, and replacement planning. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost reduction.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and legal requirements. Conduct regular inspections and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide financial reports to management.
- Project Management: Oversee renovation, refurbishment, and construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Guest Satisfaction: Prioritize guest satisfaction by addressing maintenance issues promptly and effectively. Foster a culture of service excellence among the team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Power Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering.
- A trade qualification or equivalent technical training is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in an engineering role.
- Demonstrated expertise in engineering operations, including a deep understanding of hotel systems and infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices and industry standards.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, reporting, analysis, and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary engineering trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Candidates with a PMP certification will be given preference.
