Job Description
Compensation & Benefits Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the compensation and benefits functions within the organization. This role ensures the effective administration of salary structures, incentive programs, and employee benefits, while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Supervisor supports the development and implementation of programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent, and supervises a team or specialists supporting compensation and benefits activities.
- Supervise and support the compensation and benefits team in day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and accurate program administration.
- Coordinate salary reviews, job evaluations, benchmarking studies, and market pricing.
- Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs such as merit increases, promotions, and bonus plans.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness, and leave management.
- Ensure all programs comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ACA, ERISA).
- Monitor market trends and recommend updates to programs to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners to provide compensation guidance and support for new hires and promotions.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for HR leadership and support internal audits and compliance activities.
- Provide training and support to HR team members and employees on compensation and benefits policies and tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant HR experience, with a focus on compensation and benefits.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior HR staff is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations and practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
