Job Summary:
- The Junior Account Manager specializing in the financial sector is an entry-level sales and relationship management role. This position is responsible for supporting senior account managers in selling and delivering IT solutions to financial institutions. The role focuses on understanding the unique technology needs of the financial sector, building client relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction and solution adoption, ultimately contributing to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities: - Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for assigned financial sector clients for routine inquiries, support needs, and project updates.
- Assist in nurturing strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their business and technology challenges.
- Schedule and participate in client meetings and presentations, learning to identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
- Ensure all client communications and activities are accurately logged in the CRM system.
- Sales Support & Opportunity Identification:
- Support senior account managers in the sales cycle, from lead qualification to proposal development and contract negotiation.
- Conduct research on specific financial institutions to understand their IT infrastructure, strategic initiatives, and potential technology gaps.
- Help identify new business opportunities within the existing client base or potential new clients in the financial sector.
- Prepare sales materials, presentations, and customized proposals for IT solutions tailored to financial sector needs.
- Product & Industry Expertise:
- Develop a strong understanding of the IT partner's full range of technology products and services.
- Gain knowledge of the financial sector's specific regulatory environment (e.g., CBE, FRA guidelines), compliance requirements, and evolving technology trends.
- Articulate the value proposition of IT solutions in addressing financial sector challenges.
- Coordination & Delivery Assistance:
- Collaborate closely with internal technical teams to ensure successful delivery and implementation of IT solutions.
- Assist in coordinating client training and user adoption initiatives for deployed technologies.
- Help manage project timelines and client expectations alongside project managers.
- Administrative & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate client records, sales pipelines, and activity reports.
- Assist in preparing sales forecasts and performance reviews for client accounts.
- Handle administrative tasks related to client accounts and sales operations.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or administrative role, preferably within an IT company, a technology-focused department of a financial institution, or a related internship.
- Skills:
- Technical Aptitude: A strong interest in and basic understanding of technology concepts, software, and IT infrastructure.
- Financial Sector Interest: Eagerness to learn about the financial industry, its operations, and regulatory landscape.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Interpersonal: Strong relationship-building skills and a client-centric approach.
- Organizational: Exceptional organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solver with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
