F&B Account Manager
General Scope:
The F&B Account Manager is responsible for managing one or more assigned Food & Beverage (F&B) customer accounts. The primary objective is to create customer value through expert technical service, ensure revenue retention, maintain profit margins, and identify opportunities for product growth within existing accounts. While acquiring new business may occur, this is not the core focus of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow assigned F&B customer accounts.
- Deliver technical service and application support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling products within assigned accounts.
- Maintain pricing discipline and gross profit targets.
- Analyze customer needs and usage trends to recommend tailored solutions.
- Prepare account reviews and performance reports as required.
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, supply chain, marketing) to fulfill customer needs.
- Ensure full compliance with company safety and ethical standards.
- Knowledge & Expertise:
- Deep understanding of F&B industry processes and challenges.
- Applied technical knowledge of chemical solutions and sanitation processes used in F&B production environments.
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and local food safety regulations.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Job Complexity:
- Works independently on moderately complex service and account management tasks.
- Conducts root cause analysis, prepares service recommendations, and implements corrective actions.
- Interprets technical data and performance metrics to drive customer success.
- May mentor or guide junior team members.
- Impact:
- Direct impact on customer retention, sales revenue, and gross margin.
- Plays a key role in maintaining client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Errors could affect contract renewal or customer perception.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of experience in Food and beverage sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- English Fluent.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing client expectations.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
