Job Description

• Inventory Management: 

1. Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs. 

2. Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and forecast material requirements to ensure timely availability of materials for production. 

3. Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy. 

• Procurement and Supplier Management: 

1. Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships. 

2. Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, reliability, and service level agreements. 

3. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards. 

• Material Planning and Scheduling: 

1. Develop material planning strategies to support production schedules and meet customer demand. 

2. Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of material supply with production requirements. 

3. Generate material requirements plans (MRP) and production schedules to optimize material flow and minimize shortages or excess inventory.

• Process Improvement and Optimization: 

1. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in material control processes. 

2. Implement initiatives to streamline material handling, storage, and distribution processes. 3. Utilize data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in material control operations. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment of material control activities with overall business objectives. 

2. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely support and solutions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (AASTMT Grad is preferable).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Good command of English language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mind with business acumen
  • Good knowledge in ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
