Job Description
- Procurement Responsibilities
- Receive PRs and procure requested materials, ensuring on-time delivery within set budgets
- Source local and foreign suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses
- Conduct regular market surveys to obtain the best prices and evaluate supplier performance
- Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) based on technical department requirements
- Compare received offers technically, financially, and in terms of delivery time; summarize and present recommendations to managers to support decision-making
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure items meet required specifications and favorable terms
- Issue purchase orders and execute the purchasing process according to approved POs
- Follow up on PO status from signing to delivery and Q.C. approval, within agreed deadlines
- Review supplier invoices to ensure accurate payment, follow up on credits, terms, and resolve any issues
- Evaluate supplier performance based on material quality, payment and delivery terms, negotiation flexibility, and contract compliance
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and availability of products
- Ensure a proper documentation cycle is maintained
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and price forecasts
- Keep records of all purchased and received orders and provide necessary reports as required
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a related field
- Skills and Competencies
- Proven excellent technical skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong negotiation and networking skills
- Solid judgment and decision-making abilities
