Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Sales Engineer with 10-15 years of proven success in the contractors sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the construction and engineering industry, strong technical expertise in electro mechanical equipment , and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and project managers. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying opportunities, providing technical solutions, and closing deals within the assigned territory
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
o Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the contractors sector.
o Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research.
o Conduct thorough site surveys and needs assessments to understand customer requirements.
o Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals.
o Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively.
o Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular sales forecasts.
Expertise:
o Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the sales process.
o Collaborate with internal engineering and product development teams to ensure customer needs are met.
o Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product developments, and competitor activities.
Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at contractor firms, engineering firms, and project management companies.
o Act as a trusted advisor and partner to customers, providing exceptional customer service.
o Attend industry events and conferences to network and build relationships.
o Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
o Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
o Analyze sales data and provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights.
o Provide feedback to management on product improvements and market needs.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) preferred.
- 10-15 years of proven sales experience in the contractors sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of Electromechanical equipment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the construction and engineering industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Existing network of contacts within the contractors sector.
