Job Description
- As a local Purchasing Specialist, you will have to work closely with the team to ensure timely purchase of goods and services for the business.
- This position includes but is not limited to purchase order entry and maintenance, managing on-time placement of future season PO’s, logic and problem solving for PO issue resolution, ownership of paperwork flow and appropriate approvals, and some administrative support for weekly/monthly tasks and project .
- The Purchasing Specialist will maintain data within Purchase Order (PO) System from initial PO entry through PO receipt .
- assist planning and merchandising teams in all aspects of product and purchase order processing and maintenance.
- ensure accurate information is obtained from vendors for data integrity .
Job Requirements
- solid experience in Furnituring materials is preferred
- Review supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and appropriateness and resolve any related issues.
- Issue purchase orders and execute the purchasing process according to the approved PO.
- Conduct negotiations with the suppliers, ensuring that the items meet the required specification .
- Maintain accuracy of purchase order ship dates, quantities, and item costs;
- Manages order fulfillment of all assigned orders
- Builds relationships with vendors to ensure immediate access to product and order information
- Works with multiple suppliers to process orders; monitors and expedited orders as required
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
