Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the purchasing team.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and ensure supply stability.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for lighting components (LEDs, drivers, housings, etc.).
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to meet budget and lead time targets.
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery, compliance) and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and planning teams to ensure alignment of procurement with project timelines.
- Approve purchase orders within authorized limits.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the lighting or electronics industry.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of lighting components, international and local suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Odoo).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
