Job Description
- Review import documents and follow up with the Procurement Department before uploading them to the system.
- Obtain the ACID number for each shipment.
- Follow up on the uploading and review of documents on the ACID system to prevent any obstacles.
- Prepare daily reports on shipment status and activities.
- Monitor the arrival of shipments (sea and air).
- Prepare shipments for customs clearance and payment of ground charges.
- Track shipments that are held by the authorities, whether sea or air freight.
- Assign shipments to customs brokers and upload necessary authorizations.
- Monitor customs clearance processes for shipments through the Nafeza platform (both import and export).
- Ensure the accuracy and payment of duties and fees, and follow up on the release of shipments.
- Prepare processes for the recovery of any penalties from shipping agencies, if applicable.
Job Requirements
- Thorough understanding and practical experience with the modern ACID (Advance Cargo Information Declaration) system.
- Proficiency in using the Nafeza (National Single Window for Foreign Trade Facilitation) platform for import and export processes.
- Experience in dealing with shipping lines and airlines for bookings, documentation, and coordination.
- Good command of computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
