Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-oriented and strategic Export Manager to lead and expand our international sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the medical industry, proven experience in developing and executing export strategies, and a passion for building successful partnerships in global markets. You will play a critical role in driving our company's growth and making our high-quality medical products accessible worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive export strategies to achieve sales targets and market penetration in international markets.
Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities, analyze market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and understand regulatory environments in target countries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, agents, and other strategic partners.
Oversee all aspects of the export process.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant international medical device regulations, standards and country-specific requirements for product registration, labeling, and packaging.
Manage export sales budgets, monitor expenses, and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Prepare and present regular reports on export activities, market trends, and sales forecasts to senior management.
Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless export operations and achieve company objectives.
Potentially manage and mentor an export team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Attend international trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to promote the company's products, network with potential partners, and stay abreast of industry trends.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field. A background in a scientific or medical discipline is a strong asset.
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in export management, with a significant portion of that experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare industry.
In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, Incoterms, and global logistics.
Familiarity with international medical device regulatory requirements and registration processes.
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing export strategies and achieving sales targets in international markets.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency1 in English is essential; fluency in additional languages relevant to target markets is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant software applications.
