IT Application Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage educational / non-educational applications throughout their life cycle
  
• Understand and support the academy’s educational processes by identifying functional and manageability requirements for application software
• Lead the design, deployment, ongoing support, and continual improvement of the academy’s applications
• Third-level support for Incidents related to the application(s)
• Involvement in operations testing plans and deployment issues
• Application bug tracking and patch management
• Involvement in application operability and supportability issues, such as error code design, error messaging, and Event Management hooks
• Application sizing and performance, volume metrics and load testing, and so on in support of Capacity and Availability Management processes
• Involvement in developing Release policies
• Identification of enhancements to existing software, from both a functionality and a manageability perspective
• Maintain application management documentation: application portfolio, manuals, design documentation, application requirements, use & change cases
• Plan annual applications budget (including application expenditures and operations)
• Manage non-IT (educational) related application responsibilities, associated to:
  1. Scheduling
  2. Grading / Report Cards
  3. Transcripts
• Develop and maintain professional relation with the academy’s different business units and establish effective solutions to meet business requirements
• Manage the Application Team
• Work closely with the IT department to ensure all applications’ integrity and stability
• Manage both cloud and on-premises applications
• Serve additional hours required as needed for work or activities and events
