Job Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, maintenance, and security of an organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures all systems, networks, and servers operate efficiently and align with business goals, while also leading a team of IT professionals and managing vendors and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Define and implement IT infrastructure strategies that align with organizational objectives, including future scalability and technology integration.
- System Maintenance & Monitoring: Ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of servers, networks, and storage systems through regular monitoring, updates, and performance tuning.
- Network & Server Management: Oversee the configuration, security, and performance of network and server infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust cybersecurity measures, enforce compliance with industry regulations, and manage data encryption, access controls, and firewalls.
- Disaster Recovery & Backup: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including reliable backup and recovery procedures.
- Configuration & Change Management: Maintain consistency and reliability of systems through structured change and configuration management processes.
- Incident Management: Lead the resolution of IT incidents promptly to minimize business disruption.
- Data Center Management: Oversee physical and virtual data centers, ensuring security, uptime, and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coordinate a team of IT staff including network engineers, system administrators, and support personnel.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage IT vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and oversee infrastructure budgets and procurement.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Significant experience in IT infrastructure management, typically through roles such as Systems Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Expertise in managing server infrastructure, network operations, and cloud technologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee IT projects and operations.
- Obtaining certifications such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) to enhance credentials
