Job Description
. Review the approved master program for utilities works within the overall project schedule.
. Participate in preparing the department’s budget in coordination with the relevant departments and obtain the sector manager’s approval.
. Coordinate with engineering consultancy firms (design consultants) to ensure design quality and financial/technical deliverables, in coordination with contracts and procurement.
. Manage contracts and agreements.
. Review and approve initial designs and drawings.
. Participate in technical review meetings with the project management consultants.
. Review tender documents and coordinate with the project management consultants.
. Coordinate with the New Urban Communities Authority for the approval of utilities networks.
. Coordinate with governmental authorities to obtain the necessary permits, in coordination with the Government Relations Department.
. Follow up on works execution and ensure compliance with the approved multi-disciplinary designs.
. Participate in finding solutions to obstacles during execution in coordination with the technical support consultants.
. Prepare periodic performance reports and present them to the sector manager.
. Prepare technical studies and reports for submission to the Utilities Sector Director, the CEO, and the Board Member.
. Review payment requests for utilities works and ensure they comply with the approved procedures within the financial authority limits.
. Perform any other tasks assigned by the sector manager.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Mechanical) – Infrastructure major preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities works, including electromechanical works.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Project Management Software proficiency.
Language:
• Very good command of English.
Training & Professional Certifications (Preferred):
• Contract Management courses.
• Project Management courses.
• MEP Engineering courses.
