Job Description
- Oversee and coordinate all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) technical office activities for assigned construction projects.
- Review and validate MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and update project documentation, including technical reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
- Conduct value engineering and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure all MEP works adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and status updates to stakeholders.
- Support the commissioning and handover process by verifying system functionality and compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in MEP technical office roles within the construction industry.
- Proven expertise in reviewing and preparing MEP shop drawings and technical submittals.
- Strong understanding of local and international MEP codes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Experience with value engineering and cost optimization.
