Job Description

We are looking for a resilient, empathic business development executive to contribute to the growth of our company, and to help us achieve our mission of democratizing technical innovation across Egypt. Business development executives are responsible for finding and retaining clients, encouraging extant clients to purchase added products or features, and remaining abreast of changes in consumption. The scope also includes attending networking events and developing grants proposals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research the market to identify new business opportunities.
  • Build rapport with clients and cultivate good relationships.
  • Familiarizing yourself with all products and services offered by our company.
  • Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, and collaboration with the marketing department.
  • Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
  • Attending networking activities and industry events to research and connect with prospective clients.
  • Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.
  • Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients.
  • Crafting business proposals, grants proposals, and contracts to draw in more revenue from clients.
  • Negotiating with clients to secure the most attractive prices.
  • Equipping staff with the technical and social skills needed to enhance sales.
  • Develop business development reports and keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, and contracts.
  • Reviewing clients' feedback and implementing necessary changes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, account management experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience with tech-related companies or social enterprises is a plus.
  • Awareness of the Egyptian startup ecosystem.
  • Proven experience with grants development and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • English fluency.
