Job Description

  • Review tender documents to evaluate the scope of the project and provide recommendations to direct manager accordingly.
  • Read the contracts conditions carefully to take it into consideration when preparing the tender.
  • Set the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Tenders & Contracts team.
  • Distribute tasks among the team members and monitor their performance.
  • Receive the queries from the team, review them and make the needed amendments.
  • Attend periodical progress meetings and give technical advices.
  • Take part in the project management and risk management reviews.
  • Review the direct and indirect cost sheets and make the needed amendments in coordination with the Tender team.
  • Conduct the final tuning with the Technical Affairs GM regarding the final prices of the project.
  • Manage the process of handing over the project documents and requirements to the operations team..
  • Provide support to management during the pre-tender process starting from evaluating/ assessing tenders, assessing risk factors to arrive at bid decisions, and estimating all the required material (as per the BOQ), equipment, and manpower needs to be able to arrive at reliable cost estimates for bidding projects.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain department to negotiate with approved vendors / suppliers and subcontractors for various supplies / material as per project (pre/ post tender).
  • Lead, by example, the Tender and Contracts team.
  • Delegate work according to specialisation, project priorities, technical challenges and contractual milestones.
  • Provides all the necessary project clarifications/ information upon project award to Projects Department as per the project budget; advise Projects Managers on contractual rights, remedies which have been taken into consideration during tendering.
  • Advise Planning Department on project activities as per BOQ as needed.
  • Generate weekly tender status reports highlighting progress on concerned tenders.
  • Keep liaison with Projects Managers for the on-site actual execution of projects to get in-depth knowledge to be able to prepare future competitive tenders.
  • Approve the subcontractors invoices to assure compliance with contracts conditions.
  • Approve the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of hte Tenders & Contracts Department.
  • Develop the technical skills of the Tenders & Contracts team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of engineering civil /arch .
  • 15+ Years of experience in Energy and Power Generation industry.
  • 5 Years on same position.
  • Contracts Management certification.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Financial Modelling.
  • Leadership.
  • Project Management PMP.
