We are seeking a skilled Vendor Prequalification Specialist to lead our vendor registration and prequalification processes, ensuring that our company and its principals are listed on approved vendor lists for major oil and gas clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the process of registering principals and the company with major clients, ensuring inclusion on approved vendor lists within the oil and gas sector.
- Prepare and submit all required documentation to meet client standards, including compliance, certifications, and financial statements.
- Engage with client procurement and vendor management teams to clarify requirements, address prequalification queries, and follow up on registration status.
- Ensure all prequalification documentation aligns with client requirements and industry standards, focusing on quality, compliance, and accuracy.
- Maintain an organized record of submitted applications, approvals, and renewals to ensure timely responses to client audits and requalification processes.
- Work closely with principal departments such as Sales, Legal, and Compliance to obtain necessary information and ensure smooth completion of the prequalification process.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in vendor registration, prequalification, or procurement in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas industry standards, including HSE, ISO, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of managing complex documentation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
