Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing & Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors.
Conduct market research to source cost-effective and high-quality products/services.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value.
Maintain and update the supplier database, ensuring compliance with company standards.
2. Purchase Order Processing
Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
Track orders, confirm delivery timelines, and resolve any discrepancies.
Collaborate with inventory, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth procurement processes.
3. Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze spending patterns and recommend improvements.
Assist in budget preparation and expense forecasting.
4. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts.
Support audits by providing necessary procurement documentation.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., operations, finance, project teams) to understand procurement needs.
Resolve supplier or delivery issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
Experience: [1-2] years of procurement/purchasing experience in [industry, if relevant].
Certifications (Preferred): CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and MS Excel.
