About the Company and Website:
We are CallPerfect, a U.S.-based company offering cloud-hosted PBX and VoIP services primarily targeting local small businesses in California. Our website is still in an early growth stage. We're looking to build a strong SEO foundation to attract inbound leads and establish a trustworthy online presence.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a skilled, performance-driven SEO Specialist with at least 3 years of experience to manage technical and on-page SEO. Your primary goal will be to increase qualified leads and improve rankings on major search engines.

Additionally, you’ll help set up and optimize our self-hosted CMS website (such as WordPress) and participate in early-stage technical structuring and design.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify transactional and commercial-intent keywords
  • Build keyword maps for landing pages and blog posts
  • Write or optimize title tags, meta descriptions, H1–H3 tags, and image ALT text
  • Optimize URL structure, internal linking, and content hierarchy
  • Set up and maintain proper SEO-friendly page templates
  • Run regular technical audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
  • Fix crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and indexation issues
  • Manage sitemaps, robots.txt, and schema markup (especially LocalBusiness schema)
  • Ensure mobile-friendliness, site speed, and Core Web Vitals compliance
  • Optimize and manage Google Business Profile
  • Create and manage local citations in U.S. directories
  • Use local keyword variations and city-specific pages

???? Marketing Contribution (SEO’s Role in Growth Strategy):

As a key part of our marketing engine, your SEO work will directly support the company’s broader business goals:

  • Attracting qualified leads from the U.S.
  • Building long-term brand trust in the VoIP/PBX space
  • Aligning website content with customer search intent and conversion goals

You’ll also contribute to:

  • Recommending and planning content to support marketing campaigns (blog posts, FAQs, landing pages)
  • Providing SEO-informed suggestions to improve messaging and page performance
  • Supporting brand visibility through local SEO and search presence
  • Sharing data insights that influence marketing direction (e.g. keyword gaps, user behavior)

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Use Google Search Console and Google Analytics to track rankings, CTR, and impressions
  • Generate monthly performance reports tied to traffic and conversion goals
  • Use Google Tag Manager to track key actions like form submissions

Job Requirements

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proven 3+ years experience in technical and on-page SEO
  • Ability to build, manage, and optimize a CMS-based website (e.g., WordPress) on a self-hosted server
  • Familiarity with themes, page builders, and SEO-focused layout structuring
  • Able to create clean, responsive page templates that support SEO and user experience goals
  • Deep understanding of on-page SEO best practices
  • Solid experience with technical SEO audits and problem-solving
  • Advanced use of tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
  • Ability to configure schema markup and optimize for Core Web Vitals
  • Experience with local SEO in the U.S. context
  • Comfortable editing WordPress pages and working in a CMS
  • Familiarity with Google Business Profile and NAP consistency (Name, Address, Phone)
  • Ability to audit and structure blog content into topic clusters or content silos

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Valuable):

  • Experience ranking content in U.S. or international markets
  • Familiarity with VoIP/PBX/telecom industry or terminology
